Ryan – Newborn

I was looking forward to meeting Ryan yesterday. I had seen the “post” birth photos on Facebook and knew I was in for a “big boy” session.

Ryan weighed in at a little over 4.74kg last week - so I was thinking I will have 5 kg baby session. And yes he was a big boy… Gorgeous squishy cheeks and lots of hair!

Blue sky – blue day

Hello blue sky but let’s not forget those fluffy clouds too… and so to a bit of a blue celebration to start with this morning. Needless to say I am well “over” all this rain and humidity. It would be nice to arrive at a wedding this season – without an armful of large umbrellas on hand… But that’s the way it goes – and we roll with it

Louise and Chris married at Woodlands

It was a warm day in Gordonton for Louise and Chris’s wedding. We were lucky for the sunny break we had – due to the constant afternoons of summer rain. Woodlands is a lovely venue, and not too far south of Auckland - our first time there, of many visits I hope. Such a beautiful wedding, wonderful day with an awesome couple. Congratulations Louise and Chris:)

Double Green day

Double green day today…. While we have sun Resident frog is back (I must name him) – smiling at me this time I think .. Plus +++ we have monarch butterfly caterpillars.

I must keep an eye on them before they decimate the swan plant! Love using my 105 Sigma EX lense – pretty good macro option too..

Danielle and Phil married at Castaways

It was a wet New Year’s eve – and when we arrived at Castaways – we were greated by thunder and lightening. But all was good:) Danielle and the girls beautiful flowers were by Designer Flowers, Pukekohe. The ceremony was lovely and Seonid Horne was the celebrant. The weather cleared for a bit after the ceremony – giving us an hour of fun photos down on the black sand at Karioitahi beach. We returned later in the day to cover the cake cutting, fireworks and some of the dance – always handy when you live just a couple of kms dwn the road from the venue :). Mike Steffans was the superb DJ. Danielle and Phil we had a great time with you on the day of your gorgeous wedding. Congratulations!

Frogs… and more

2011 Has brought with it a fair bit of rain in the past few months - great for our water tank and the garden.

On our way back from the New Years eve wedding – it was raining – and the road covered with frogs. We have a few resident frogs in our water gardens and spied this one sunning himself on a lily pad this afternoon. The waterlily was so pretty – could not resist adding it in

Margaret and Mark – Married at Castaways

Yes I am catching up on blog posts!

On a very windy day in November – Mark and Mags were married at Castaways, Kariotahi beach. There was a threat of rain (and a few spits) as there have been many times in recent weddings we have photographed . The colour theme was inspired by Bird of Paradise and the flowers by the Blossom Room were stunning. Mags and the girls lovely hair and makeup was by Alison Brewer

Surprise wedding – Shelley and Richard

Surprise wedding number 2 of the year - Shelley and Richard arranged a surprise wedding in a matter of weeks and it was such a great day. The rain certainly did not dampen any spirits and the wedding was held in Shelley’s parents gorgeous garden in Mauku. Friends invited to their engagement party were delighted to find it was a marriage celebration. Congratulations Shelley and Richard.:)

A secret wedding – Suzanne and Andrew married

I have had to keep a secret – and I think I did it pretty well, and now the surprise is out. Suzanne and Andrew were married on Saturday in front of family and friends at a surprise wedding. They had been engaged for a little while and Saturday was meant to be an engagement party – but instead – unknown to all their and friends (less the two or three who helped arrange the wedding) they were the delighted guests at a beautiful wedding. Here are a few images from the day.
